Partner Hospitals

Michael Garron Hospital

Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is a community teaching hospital committed to providing excellence in cancer care to our community and beyond. Our Lung Time-to-Treat clinic or Diagnostic and Assessment Unit (DAU)continues to lead to expedited diagnosis and care for lung and thoracic cancer patients. Patients with suspected lung (thoracic), breast, colorectal and thyroid cancer may be referred to the DAU by one step - a faxed referral to the hospital. Referral criteria and the required forms are on the website. Post surgery where indicated, medical oncologists provide ongoing cancer care and systemic treatments, access to clinical trials and supportive services in our Oncology Clinic and Chemotherapy Suite.

Michael Garron Hospital offers enhanced cancer care through beneficial partnerships. For those patients with suspected genitourinary or prostate cancer, our urologists partner with radiation oncologists at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital in Multidisciplinary Cancer Conferences to assess and plan for cancer patients. MGH serves as the base where surgeons from both centres perform robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy. In addition, MGH as the Center of Excellence, partners with Odette in the delivery of lung and thoracic surgery. MGH surgeons attend patients here and at Odette and harness specialists' expertise via MCCs. This model of partnership has been extended to thoracic cancer patients from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.

MGH is proud to serve our patients and to collaborate to ensure all of their oncology needs are met. Learn more about Michael Garron Hospital.
